The four pillars to implement new ways of working

Our research has revealed four key actions to address the challenges of new ways of working:

3. Standardise collaboration while providing the best user experience for everyone

Almost nine in 10 respondents to our survey felt they had good visibility of the user experience of their collaboration solutions – a vital first step in making improvements. Before you can integrate, you have to standardise. Hazem Essayed at Eli Lilly, says: “You can standardise the technology, you can standardise the functionalities platform, but that can’t be successful without standardising the business processes.” Commerzbank’s Ivan Provaznik says: “In complex IT solutions environments, banks won’t be able to survive without standardisation and documentation. This is what we are driving now.” Collaboration, especially document sharing, needs to get better. Tools and features are improving all the time so it is important to keep up with new features and make sure employees are maximising collaboration platforms to make their work easier and more productive.

Majority of respondents felt they have good visibility of
